Makinde to Open 59th Bible Society Meeting in Ogbomoso

Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde is scheduled to declare open the 59th National Board Meeting of the Bible Society of Nigeria (BSN) on May 20, 2026. The event will take place at the First Baptist Church in Ogbomoso, Oyo State.

Benjamin Mordi, the media manager for BSN, announced this in a statement made available on Sunday. The meeting, which will be presided over by the board chairman, Bishop Banwo, will discuss the organization's past and future activities in line with its biblical mandate.

The annual report will be presented by the General Secretary and Chief Executive Officer, Pastor Samuel Sanusi. Additionally, former Head of State, Gen Yakubu Gowon (retd), who is a patron of BSN, along with national office members and delegates from across the country, are expected to attend.

The Bible Society of Nigeria is a non-profit interdenominational Christian organization committed to translating the Bible into Nigerian languages and publishing and distributing holy scriptures.
