Makinde Urges NFF to Host Super Eagles Matches in Ibadan

Governor Makinde of Oyo State has urged the NFF to host Super Eagles matches in Ibadan, emphasizing the city's readiness to meet international standards for sporting events. Makinde commended the NFF's efforts to reform domestic football, particularly in officiating and league organization.

Additionally, he rewarded the Nigeria Falconets for their victory over Rwanda in the 2026 FIFA Women's World Cup qualifying clash held in Ibadan. The governor praised the team's performance and announced a cash reward for their success.

The Falconets secured a win against Rwanda and are set to face Senegal in the final qualifying round.
