Makinde's Aide Critiques Fayose and Wike Over PDP Convention

Dare Adelek, a special adviser to Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, publicly criticized former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose and Nyesom Wike regarding their comments about the recent Abuja convention of the People's Democratic Party (PDP). Adelek described Wike's backing of the convention as "fake legal" and dismissed Fayose's prediction that Makinde would be expelled from the party.

He accused Fayose of speaking with "reckless abandon" and attempting to dominate the PDP in the Southwest. Adelek emphasized Makinde's disciplined approach and contrasted it with Fayose's political theatrics.

He also noted the ongoing legal challenges surrounding the legitimacy of the Abuja convention, asserting that the Makinde faction is awaiting a Supreme Court judgment on the party's leadership disputes. Adelek urged PDP members to uphold party ideals and criticized the notion of reconciliation promoted by the convention, asserting that it undermines democratic norms.
