Wike Warns Makinde Against Political Missteps in PDP

Nyesom Wike, during a meeting of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Abuja, criticized Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, cautioning him not to start a political fight he cannot win. Wike described Makinde's claims regarding a meeting involving the Federal Capital Territory Minister and President Bola Tinubu as unfortunate and misleading.

He emphasized that politics is not akin to business ventures and warned party members against double-dealing, asserting that failure to demonstrate loyalty could lead to sidelining within the party. Wike's remarks came as the PDP intensifies efforts for reconciliation ahead of its national convention.

Abdulrahman Moham, the chairman of the PDP national caretaker committee, stated that there would be no victor or vanquished in the party's internal conflicts, highlighting the importance of unity and discipline among members. The sale of nomination forms for the upcoming national convention has commenced, with strict adherence to guidelines emphasized for interested aspirants.
