Mamelodi Sundowns Wins Second CAF Champions League Title

Mamelodi Sundowns clinched their second CAF Champions League title after holding FAR Rabat to a 1-1 draw in the second leg of the final on Sunday night in Morocco, resulting in a 2-1 aggregate victory. The match took place at the Moulai Abdellah Stadium.

Sundowns had previously won the first leg 1-0 in Pretoria. FAR Rabat's Moham Hrimat scored from the penalty spot in the 40th minute, giving the Moroccan side hope.

However, Teboho Mokoena restored Sundowns' aggregate lead with a superb strike during first-half stoppage time. The decisive moment came when Sundowns' goalkeeper Ronwen Williams saved Hrimat's penalty in the second half, denying FAR Rabat a chance to equalize.

This victory marked a significant achievement for Sundowns and their coach Miguel Cardoso, who previously faced disappointment in the finals.
