Man City and Arsenal Target Key Transfers Before Deadline

On transfer deadline day, Manchester City is pursuing a significant move for Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez, who is valued at approximately £120 million. City has not yet met Chelsea's asking price.

Enzo Maresca, City’s former Chelsea boss, is interested in bringing Fernandez to the Etihad Stadium following the sale of Rodri to Barcelona and the departures of Bernardo Silva, Nico Gonzalez, and Tijjani Reijnders. Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso has excluded Fernandez from the last two match squads amid transfer speculation.

Meanwhile, Arsenal is targeting Julian Alvarez from Atletico Madrid, who reportedly prefers a move to Barcelona. Atletico is hesitant to sell to a La Liga rival but may consider a £128 million deal with Arsenal.

Alvarez has missed training sessions and did not participate in Atletico's recent victory over Sevilla. Securing Alvarez would mark a significant move for Arsenal as they aim for consecutive English titles.
