Kebbi Government Denies Claims in Viral Ramadan Video

The Kebbi State Government has responded to a viral video featuring Abduljal Usman, who claimed to have received Ramadan palliatives on a mudu plate. The government described the video as a staged drama orchestrated by political opponents to mislead the public.

Special Adviser on Communication Strategy, Nasir Idris Abdullahi, stated that Usman is a known psychiatric patient manipulated by desperate politicians to discredit the government's Ramadan palliative initiative. The government emphasized that the actual palliatives distributed included rice and millet, not maize as claimed in the video.

The timing of the video was also noted, as the palliatives for the Dandi Local Government Area had not yet arrived at the council headquarters. The Kebbi State Government launched the Ramadan palliative program to alleviate the impact of rising food prices during the fasting period.

Abdullahi Idris further asserted that the video is part of a broader campaign to tarnish the administration's image, citing previous attempts to discredit the government.
