Man Rescued After Jumping from Plateau Bridge

On Friday, around 1pm, a middle-aged man jumped into the water from the British American Bridge located in the Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State. The incident drew the attention of commuters and residents, who quickly intervened to rescue him.

Eyewitness Dalyop Gyang described the scene, noting that several individuals raised the alarm, leading to a collective rescue effort. The man appeared injured and required urgent medical attention, prompting his transport to a hospital.

Another eyewitness, Mercy John, mentioned that security personnel, including policemen, arrived at the scene after the incident. However, the circumstances leading to the man's jump were not immediately known.

The spokesperson for the Plateau State Police Command, Alabo Alfred, was unavailable for comment, but sources indicated that an investigation had begun to determine the reasons behind the incident.
