Manchester United Signs Andrei Santos for £48 Million

Manchester United has completed the signing of Brazilian midfielder Andrei Santos for £48 million, agreeing on the fee last week. Santos, 22, has signed a contract that runs until June 2031, with an option to extend for another year.

The club's director of football, Jason Wilcox, emphasized Santos's outstanding technical qualities and leadership abilities, highlighting his potential for further development. Santos expressed excitement about joining Manchester United, citing club legend Michael Carrick as a significant influence on his career.

He aims to learn from Carrick, who is the current manager, and contribute to the team's success in major competitions. Santos, who was not selected for the World Cup, has already begun training with the team ahead of their pre-season campaign, which starts against Wrexham in Helsinki on July 18.
