Manchester United Adjusts Third Kit for UEFA Compliance

Manchester United has announced a change to their recently launched third kit for Champions League matches due to UEFA regulations. The club's new Adidas third strip features a minimalist design with only the fireball emblem of their principal sponsor, Snapdragon.

However, UEFA mandates that all clubs must use the same version of a sponsor's branding across all registered kits during competitions. As a result, Manchester United will now include the full "Snapdragon" wordmark beneath the logo when wearing the third kit in Champions League matches this season.

The club confirmed this alteration in a statement on their official website, explaining that the third kit will still be worn in domestic competitions without the wordmark. The statement clarified that the requirement for uniformity in sponsor logos necessitates the addition of the wordmark for Champions League appearances.

Manchester United debuted the third kit, characterized by an ivory base and red accents, during a preseason match against AC Milan on Saturday, August 15, which they lost 4-2 at the Tarczynski Arena in Poland.
