Manchester United Unveils Plans for New 100,000 Stadium

Manchester United announced plans for a new 100,000-capacity stadium, which will be situated 350 meters northwest of the existing Old Trafford. This significant step is part of the Trafford Wharfsid regeneration project, which aims to transform the area into a major destination for sports, entertainment, and business activities throughout the year.

The club's chief executive for the new stadium development, Collett Roch, described the Wharfsid masterplan as an important milestone in the club's long-term vision. The proposed site is intended to balance the preservation of the club's heritage while providing the necessary transport links and infrastructure for a world-class fan experience.

Manchester United has stated that no final decision has been made regarding the future of the existing Old Trafford stadium, and consultations with fans and stakeholders will be conducted as part of the decision-making process. The regeneration project is expected to create approximately 48,000 jobs and contribute around £7.3 billion annually to the UK economy.
