Study Shows Nigerian Youths Unaware of Elected Officials, Fearful of Political Engagement

A new study published in the Intern Journal Sub Saharan African Research (IJSSAR) by Ojo from Ebonyi State University highlights the lack of awareness among Nigerian youths about elected officials. The research indicates that despite online advocacy for good governance, many young Nigerians do not participate in offline political activities due to fear of violence and distrust in the electoral process.

The study recommends urgent reforms to enhance security during elections and increase civic enlightenment to boost youth engagement in Nigeria's electoral system.
