Former Senator Marafa Denies APC Return Claims Amid Political Speculation

Former Senator Kabir Marafa from Zamfara State has dismissed claims of his return to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and accused online platforms of spreading false information. Marafa, who served as a senator from 2011 to 2019, refuted allegations of rejoining the ruling party alongside support from Bola Tinubu for the 2023 presidential election.

His media director, Mansur Haruna, described the claims as fake, baseless, and aimed at misleading the public. Marafa emphasized that the reports were sponsored propaganda to confuse the public and tarnish his reputation.

He clarified that he resigned from the APC on August 28, 2025, and warned media platforms against speculation regarding his political decisions. Haruna urged the media to verify information before publishing to avoid misleading the public.

Marafa's team emphasized that any future political decisions would be transparently communicated.
