Senator Marafa Denies Return to APC, Calls Reports "False and Misleading"

Former Senator representing Zamfara Central Senatorial District, Kabir Garba Marafa, has vehemently denied reports circulating on online platforms suggesting his return to the All Progressives Congress (APC). Senator Marafa, who served in the Senate from 2011 to 2019, formally exited the APC in August 2025, alongside thousands of supporters across 14 local government areas in Zamfara State.

He was the APC's Zamfara State campaign coordinator during the 2023 presidential election, supporting President Bola Tinubu. Marafa accused the party of sidelining and abandoning him after the polls.

In a statement issued by the Director-General of New Media in Senator Marafa's media office, Comrade Mansur M. Haruna, the former senator urged the media and the public to adhere strictly to principles of professional journalism, including accuracy and verification.
