NALPGAM Advocates for Inclusion in Gas Initiatives

The Nigerian Association of Liquefied Petroleum Gas Marketers (NALPGAM) has called on the Federal Government to include its members in the implementation of cooking gas penetration and cylinder recirculation initiatives. This involvement is aimed at expanding access to liquefied petroleum gas across Nigeria.
NALPGAM's National President, Barrister Edu Inyang, emphasized the need for safety, efficiency, and sustainability in the industry. The call came after a 2026 webinar titled ‘Downstream LPG Operational Excellence and Compliance’, which addressed safety risks, market volatility, and regulatory requirements.
Participants urged for increased industry participation in the Decade of Gas LPG penetration programme, targeting an annual LPG consumption of approximately five million tonnes by 2030. The webinar also highlighted the importance of compliance with safety regulations and the adoption of digital technologies to enhance operational efficiency.
Inyang stated that compliance should be viewed as a business advantage, enhancing performance and protecting investments.
