Marketsquare Celebrates 10 Years as Nigeria's Top Retail Chain

Marketsquare, established by Sundri Market Limited, marks its tenth anniversary as Nigeria's largest indigenous grocery retail chain. Founded in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, the company launched its first store in 2015 and has since expanded to 41 outlets across 19 cities, serving two million customers monthly and employing 4,000 Nigerians.

The founder and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Ebel Enunwa, emphasized the company's philosophy of providing quality retail access to every community, challenging conventional retail growth strategies.

Marketsquare's growth occurred amid Nigeria's economic challenges, including recession, inflation, and supply chain disruptions exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic.
