Mascot Uzor Kalu Declares 2027 Abia Governorship Bid, Criticizes Incumbent

Mascot Uzor Kalu, brother of former Abia State Governor Orji Uzor Kalu, has declared his intention to run for governor in the 2027 elections. Kalu criticized the current governor, Alex Otti, for alleged failures and promised to unify Abia for progress.

He aims to leverage the support of political heavyweight Bola Tinubu for development initiatives. Kalu also criticized the Labour Party's governance and emphasized the need for voter registration ahead of the 2027 polls.
