US Lawmaker Accuses Nigerian Minister of Bribery Attempt

Kimberli Daniel, a member of the Florida House of Representatives and chairperson of the United Nations World Congress Diplomat, accused Bello Matawalle, Nigeria's Minister of State for Defence, of attempting to bribe a U.S. official. This allegation was made in the context of renewed violence in Nigeria's north-central and northwest regions, which has resulted in multiple casualties in Plateau, Kaduna, and Nasarawa states during the 2026 Easter period.

Daniel's intervention follows a report highlighting the growing gap between official assurances and the realities faced by communities affected by violence. She shared her concerns via a video on her Facebook page, asserting that Matawalle's alleged actions were an attempt to deflect attention from a UN World Congress Diplomat report that indicts the Nigerian government regarding the genocide of Christians in Nigeria.

Daniel emphasized that no amount of pressure would silence her stance against the killings of Christians in Nigeria.
