Allegations of Bribery Against Nigeria's Defence Minister

Bello Matawalle, Nigeria's Minister of State for Defence, has been accused of attempting to bribe a U.S. official to alter the narrative regarding reports of Christian killings in Nigeria. This allegation was revealed by U.S. lawmaker Daniel in a video that has since gone viral on Facebook.

Daniel, who serves as the chairperson of the UN WCD, stated that Matawalle's alleged actions were aimed at concealing findings related to the killings of Christians in Nigeria. Despite the pressure, Daniel emphasized her commitment to speaking out against the violence faced by Christians in the country.

She has previously called for the removal of Matawalle due to his alleged involvement in the killings across various regions, including Plateau, Benue, and Kaduna. As of now, Matawalle has not issued an official response to these allegations.
