Matawalle Welcomes Dauda Lawal to APC, Urges Unity

On Monday, former Zamfara State Governor Bello Matawalle welcomed the current Zamfara State Governor Dauda Lawal to the All Progressives Congress (APC), marking a significant political development in the state. Matawalle described Lawal's decision to join the ruling party as the beginning of a new chapter aimed at uniting efforts to tackle various challenges, particularly insecurity.

In a statement issued by his media adviser Ahmad Dan Wudil, Matawalle stressed the importance of collaboration among political stakeholders to address the ongoing threats of banditry and kidnapping in the North West region. He noted that Zamfara requires a collective commitment from leaders and citizens to overcome these security challenges and support the development agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Matawalle referred to Lawal as a friend and brother, urging APC members in Zamfara to strengthen the party ahead of the 2027 general elections and reaffirming their commitment to a shared vision for a safer and more prosperous Zamfara State.
