Osun Labor Union Rally Supports APC Candidate Oyebamiji

On May Day, a faction within the Osun State labor movement, specifically the Osun State Association of Local Government Workers, conducted a rally endorsing the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its gubernatorial candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, for the August 15, 2026, governorship election. The rally took place at the premises of Olorunda Local Government Area in Igbona, Osogbo, where various groups, including members of the Osun Youth Empowerment Scheme, participated in a ceremonial march.

Samuel Idowu, the chairman of the association and a local government APC chairman, addressed the attendees, emphasizing the importance of prioritizing worker welfare, including the abolition of casual staff positions and the establishment of permanent job offers. Adedayo Adekunl, a coordinator of the group, called for immediate action on worker demands to prevent strikes, highlighting the need for social dialogue.

The event underscored the commitment of the APC to improve working conditions and ensure timely payment of salaries.
