Mbah, Akpabio Praise Ngwu for N250 Million Scholarship Initiative

On a recent occasion, Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah and Senate President Godswill Akpabio praised Senator Osita Ngwu for his initiative in disbursing N250 million in bursary scholarships to students in the Enugu West Senatorial District. This scholarship scheme, now in its second year, is part of Ngwu's Enugu West Academy initiative, which aims to support students financially, including those preparing for unified tertiary matriculation examinations and postgraduate studies.

Akpabio announced a personal donation of N100 million to the Enugu West Academy, commending Ngwu for his commitment to empowering youth through education. The program aims to ensure that no child is left behind and to provide opportunities for brilliant students who lack mentorship and resources.

Currently, 2,600 students are set to benefit from the scholarship program, with 4,000 students enrolled across 19 learning centers. The initiative reflects ongoing educational reforms in Enugu State, including the establishment of smart schools.
