Mbah Commends DSS, Army for Major Arms Recovery in Enugu

On a visit to the Department of State Services (DSS) headquarters, Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah praised the DSS and the Nigerian Army for their collaboration in a recent operation that resulted in the recovery of a significant cache of arms and ammunition from the Eastern Security Network (ESN). The operation, which took place on Tuesday, involved the 82 Division of the Nigerian Army and led to the recovery of high-caliber weapons, including a rocket launcher, two RPG rocket-propelled grenade warheads, three RPG chargers, 11 AK-47 rifles, and 610 rounds of NATO 7.62x39 mm ammunition.

Governor Mbah emphasized the importance of intelligence and collaboration among security agencies in combating terrorism and insecurity in the Southeast region. He called for unity among Nigerians, regardless of political or religious affiliations, to support President Bola Tinubu's efforts to tackle insecurity.
