Middle Belt Forum Warns of Imminent Militia Attacks

The Middle Belt Forum has expressed serious concerns regarding imminent militia attacks in Taraba and Kaduna states, as indicated by a statement from its spokesman, Luka Binniyat. The forum has identified a potential attack window along the Chachangi, Yelwa, Wukari, and Takum road corridor in Taraba, with the warning issued on Monday, March 23, 2026.

The forum highlighted the vulnerability of local government areas in Kaduna State, including Kajuru, Chikun, and Kachia, due to recurring attacks and kidnappings. Residents are advised to remain alert and vigilant, particularly in light of recent credible threats.

The forum has urged residents to avoid isolated farming activities, travel in groups, and report any suspicious activities to security agencies. Furthermore, it has called for a proactive deployment of security personnel in the identified areas to ensure safety and prevent potential attacks.
