MC Oluomo Regains NURTW Secretariat Amid Rival Claims

Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, has successfully regained possession of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) secretariat in Abuja following a takeover by a rival faction led by Tajudeen Baruwa. The takeover occurred on Monday, with Baruwa's faction claiming that their actions were backed by a court ruling.

Akinsanya visited the secretariat to inspect the damage to property and to reclaim control. He stated that legal proceedings regarding the matter are ongoing.

Baruwa, in response, maintained that his faction's actions were legitimate and in line with a valid court judgment. He also alleged that members of his faction were attacked during the takeover.

Akinsanya urged union members to remain calm and abide by the law as the dispute continues. The situation highlights the ongoing tensions within the NURTW and the complexities surrounding the leadership claims.
