MC Oluomo Regains NURTW Secretariat Control in Abuja

On Tuesday, Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, took possession of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) secretariat in Abuja. This action followed an earlier takeover by a rival faction led by Tajudeen Baruwa.

Akinsanya assessed the damage to the property and stated that he was regaining control in accordance with a court ruling that favored him. Baruwa's faction had occupied the secretariat for two years, claiming their actions were backed by a valid court judgment.

Akinsanya emphasized that his takeover was conducted peacefully and legally, urging union members to abide by the law. He also noted that Baruwa's faction had allegedly attacked members during the process.

Akinsanya reassured the public that he would not engage in violence and that the situation would be handled through legal channels. He called for calm among union members as the dispute continues to unfold.
