Measles-Rubella: Edo Gov’t Inaugurates Team To Raise Awareness On Immunisation

The Edo State Government's Primary Healthcare Development Agency has inaugurated a Technical Working Group to raise awareness about the Measles-Rubella vaccination campaign. The official inauguration was led by the Coordinator of the Office of the First Lady, Edesili Anani Okpebholo, who emphasized the importance of protecting children and ensuring a healthier future generation.

The Commissioner of Health, Dr. Cyril Oshiomhole, praised the group's commitment to eliminating vaccine-preventable diseases and reducing child mortality.

The Executive Secretary of the EDSPHCDA, Dr. Coulson Osoikhia, highlighted the effectiveness of vaccination in public health interventions.

The campaign aims to encourage vaccine acceptance and protect children in Edo State from diseases like measles and rubella. Various stakeholders and partners have pledged their support to improve the health of the people in Edo State.
