Oyo State Launches Measles-Rubella Vaccination for 3.6 Million Children

The Oyo State government has launched a measles-rubella vaccination program targeting 3.6 million children aged nine months to 14 years across 33 local government areas. The initiative aims to eradicate the diseases, with the Executive Chairman of the Oyo State Primary Health Care Development Agency, Dr.

Muideen Olatunji, emphasizing the importance of vaccination to prevent blindness, deafness, and death. The vaccines are provided free of charge, and parents are urged to ensure their children receive them for protection.

Dr. Olatunji highlighted the contagious nature of measles and the significance of prevention through vaccination to save lives and improve public health in the state.
