Meat Seller Arrested for Assaulting 12-Year-Old Boy

Usman Abubakar, a 50-year-old meat seller, has been accused of sexually assaulting a 12-year-old boy in Angwan Daji, Niger State. The incident reportedly took place when the boy visited Abubakar's shop to purchase meat.

Upon returning home, the boy's mother noticed he was in discomfort and had bruises on his body. When questioned, the boy identified Abubakar as the perpetrator.

Following this disclosure, the family reported the incident to the police, leading to Abubakar's prompt arrest. According to Wasiu, a spokesman for the Niger State Police Command, Abubakar confessed to the crime, stating he lured the boy to his shop under the pretense of roasting meat.

The police confirmed that the suspect is in custody and undergoing further investigation. Commissioner of Police Adamu Elleman condemned the act and assured that the suspect would face the law, urging parents and guardians to monitor and protect their children from such criminal acts.
