Butcher Arrested for Stabbing Customer Over Meat Price

Emeka John, a butcher in Abia State, was arrested by the Abia State Police Command for allegedly stabbing a customer in the neck during a dispute over meat prices. The altercation took place at Ori Ugba Market in Umuahia on Saturday.

According to Maureen Chinaka, the spokesperson for the Abia State Police Command, the incident was confirmed through a telephone interview. Following the attack, the victim was rushed to the hospital for treatment.

The police are currently investigating the incident, which occurred on a Saturday, and the suspect is in custody at the Central Police Station in Umuahia. Chinaka noted that investigations are ongoing to gather more details about the case.
