Mekaria Institute Launches Digital Skills Education in Nigeria

The Mekaria Institute of Technology & Administration, located in Obosi, Anambra State, has launched its mission to transform digital skills education in Nigeria. The institute, founded by Chief Adedayo Ojo, is based on the Igbo philosophy of Emekaria, meaning “doing more, doing better.” It addresses the gap in Nigeria's education sector, where graduates often lack the necessary competencies for the job market.

Mekaria offers National Diploma (ND) programs in fields such as Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, and Digital Marketing, emphasizing employability and entrepreneurship. Tuition fees range from ₦80,000 to ₦130,000, with plans for scholarships and flexible payment options.

The institute aims to produce graduates ready for immediate workforce contribution and plans to expand its offerings, establish an Innovation Hub, and achieve degree-awarding status. Mekaria seeks to be a catalyst for economic growth in Anambra State by equipping students with skills for the global digital economy.
