Minister of Interior Promotes Innovation in Public Service

During the inaugural Ministry of Interior Innovation Challenge Award ceremony held in Abuja, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji Ojo, the Minister of Interior, urged immediate implementation of commercially viable innovative ideas to enhance staff development and contribute to national growth.

He emphasized that innovation should move beyond mere concepts to practical execution that delivers measurable impacts on national development. Dr.

Ojo encouraged staff to explore investment opportunities and remain committed to achieving greater accomplishments in the final year of the current administration. Dr.

Magdalen Ajani, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, noted that the Innovation Challenge was introduced to encourage staff to develop practical ideas capable of improving institutional efficiency. Comrade Moham, representing the Joint Union Council, commended the ministry's management for prioritizing staff welfare, highlighting recent interventions such as additional shuttle buses and improved clinic services.

The event concluded with awards presented to outstanding participants in the innovation challenge.
