Ministry of Interior Launches Innovation Hub for Service Improvement

The Ministry of Interior, represented by Permanent Secretary Dr. Magdalen Ajani, commissioned an Innovation Hub designed to drive creativity, waste-to-wealth initiatives, and enhance service delivery.

During the commissioning ceremony, Dr. Ajani reaffirmed the ministry's commitment to fostering creativity and sustaining ongoing institutional reforms.

She described the hub as a strategic platform for staff to transform waste materials into economically valuable products, commending the initiative for utilizing recycled materials such as paper and textile remnants to produce decor items and handcrafted artworks. Dr.

Ajani noted that the hub would not only promote environmental sustainability but also provide staff with opportunities to develop entrepreneurial skills and create value from discarded materials. Mr.

Vera G. Azoro, Director of Reform Coordination, was tasked with establishing a financial framework for the hub, including the recommendation for a dedicated account to support its sustainability.

The commissioning of the Innovation Hub marks a significant milestone in the Ministry of Interior's ongoing reform agenda aligned with the federal government's vision for efficient public service delivery.
