Minister of Interior Advocates for Federal-State Collaboration

On Thursday, July 2, 2026, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, the Minister of Interior, received the Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures in Nigeria, led by its chairman, Rt.

Hon. Emomotimi Denni Guwor, during a courtesy visit at the Ministry's headquarters in Abuja.

Dr. Tunji-Ojo commended the Conference for its proactive approach to partnership in nation-building and reaffirmed the Ministry's commitment to fostering strong institutional relationships with sub-national legislatures.

He emphasized that sustaining reforms in internal security and civic administration requires strong synergy between federal and state institutions.
