FG Partners with Creative Industry for Safer Nigeria

On June 5, 2026, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji Ojo, the Minister of Interior, reaffirmed the Federal Government's commitment to developing strategies in collaboration with the creative industry to build a safer Nigeria.

This statement was made during a courtesy visit from Mr. Emeka Rolla, the President of the Actor Guild of Nigeria.

Dr. Tunji Ojo highlighted the vital role of advocacy and public enlightenment in creating a stronger nation.

He congratulated Mr. Rolla on his successful re-election and commended the dedication of the creative sector.

The Minister pointed out that the partnership with the creative industry is essential for shaping public understanding and countering misinformation. He also noted a significant reduction in recidivism rates, with approximately 13,000 recidivists recorded from 2023 to 2025, a decrease attributed to investments in skill acquisition and vocational training programs.

Dr. Tunji Ojo stressed the importance of reform within the ministry and encouraged the creative industry to continue serving as a voice for public enlightenment and national unity.
