Nigeria's Minister of State Presents Letters to Ambassadors

On July 6, 2026, Sola Enikanolaiye, the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, officially presented letters of credence to multiple ambassadors-designate, preparing them for their respective diplomatic missions abroad. The ambassadors included Femi Fani-Kayode for South Africa, Jane Adam Bassei for Jamaica, and several others for countries such as Italy, Gabon, and India, among others.

Enikanolaiye reiterated the commitment to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's "Renewed Hope" agenda, focusing on Nigeria's strategic interests, attracting foreign direct investment, and promoting national security. He emphasized the importance of teamwork and the need for ambassadors to deliver tangible benefits to Nigerian citizens abroad.

Vice Admiral Iba Ibok Ekwu, also an ambassador-designate, expressed gratitude for the comprehensive induction process provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, ensuring a clear understanding of their mandates.
