Minister Unveils Family and Boy-Child Development Agenda

On the occasion of the International Day of the Boy Child, Hajiya Imaan Sulaiman Ibrahim, the Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, announced the Family and Boy-Child Development Agenda aimed at strengthening Nigerian families and advancing the development of boys. The event, held at Harrow Park, Wuse II, Abuja, gathered families, children, parents, and community stakeholders to reflect on the significance of family in national growth and social stability.

Minister Ibrahim reaffirmed the commitment of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration to prioritize families, declaring 2026 as the Year of Family Social Development. She noted that families are foundational to a healthy society and emphasized the need for balanced gender development, stating that past interventions had largely focused on women and girls, leaving boys without adequate support.

The minister called for collective efforts to strengthen homes and transform the nation, extending goodwill messages to Nigerian families.
