Nnamani Emerges PDP Guber Candidate Amid Scandal

Mr. Samson Nnamani has been selected as the gubernatorial candidate for the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Enugu State, following a primary election held on Monday.

Nnamani, who previously resigned as a minister due to allegations of certificate forgery, received 7,424 votes, defeating his closest rival, Mr. Samson Nnamani, who trailed with 600 votes.

The election was overseen by Mr. Austin Nwachukwu, the chairman of the state gubernatorial committee, who commended the orderly conduct of the party members during the process.

In his acceptance speech, Nnamani expressed gratitude to the party for entrusting him with the mandate and pledged to alleviate the burdens of excessive taxation on residents. He emphasized the need to improve living conditions in Enugu State, promising to create jobs and industrialize the area.

Nnamani's candidacy comes in the context of a challenging political landscape, with a focus on addressing the grievances of the populace, particularly regarding taxation and youth unemployment.
