Anambra Ministry and NACTAL Walk Against Human Trafficking

The Anambra State Ministry of Women and Social Welfare, in collaboration with the Network Against Child Trafficking, Abuse and Labour (NACTAL), Anambra State Chapter, held a sensitisation road walk over the weekend to commemorate the World Day Against Trafficking in Persons. The event aimed to raise public awareness about the dangers of human trafficking.

Mrs. Chinyere Esther Onyekesi, the Commissioner for Women and Social Welfare, stated that the road walk was organized to educate the public on the realities of human trafficking, advocate for stronger action and policy implementation, and encourage collective responsibility in protecting vulnerable individuals.

She emphasized that human trafficking is a serious violation of human rights that thrives on silence and ignorance. Mrs.
