Miss Universe Executive Director Dismissed for Insulting Remarks

Nawat Itsaragrisil, the Executive Director of the Miss Universe Organization, was dismissed from his position after an incident involving Miss Mexico, Fatima Bosch, during a pre-pageant ceremony in Thailand. Reports indicate that Itsaragrisil referred to Bosch as "dumb" when she did not post promotional content on her social media account.

Bosch described the comment as disrespectful and undermining, prompting her to walk alongside contestants from several countries in solidarity against the incident. In response to the controversy, Ra L Rocha, the President of the Miss Universe Organization, announced Itsaragrisil's sanction and removal from participating in the 74th Miss Universe competition via an Instagram video.

Rocha stated that the organization would not tolerate violations of respect and dignity for women, underscoring its commitment to empowering contestants and sending a clear message against inappropriate behavior within the pageant.
