APC Demands Mobilization from Political Appointees

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has issued a directive to political appointees within President Bola Tinubu’s administration, stating they must actively support and mobilize for the party or face resignation. This warning was articulated by the APC National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, during a meeting on Wednesday in Abuja with members of the Progressive Local Government Chairmen’s Forum, led by Dr Mustafa Jibrin, the chairman of Chanchaga Local Government Area in Niger State.

Yilwatda stressed that accepting a political appointment entails fulfilling political responsibilities, and those unwilling to engage in politics should not accept such roles. He urged local government chairmen to monitor the political contributions of appointees in their communities and report any failures in supporting the party.

Yilwatda asserted that the APC's success in the upcoming 2027 elections relies on effective grassroots mobilization, not just administrative performance. He pledged the party's support for the local government chairmen's mobilization efforts and the organization of a mass endorsement rally for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election.
