Modrić to Extend AC Milan Contract Until 2027
Luka Modrić is poised to extend his contract with AC Milan until the conclusion of the 2026/27 season. The 40-year-old midfielder has communicated his desire to the club's hierarchy, with a contract extension expected to be finalized soon.
Currently on holiday, Modrić is anticipated to join the Rossoneri squad for their pre-season tour of Australia under new head coach Ruben Amorim once the agreement is completed. AC Milan values Modrić's experience and leadership as they aim for domestic and European success.
Since joining the club on a free transfer in 2025 from Real Madrid, Modrić has become a key figure. He has also informed Croatia head coach Slaven Bilić of his intention to retire from international football after the UEFA Nations League match against Spain on October 6 in Split, which will conclude his nearly two-decade international career.
