Bishop Oyedepo Urges Covenant University Students to Engage

Bishop David Oyedepo, founder of Living Faith Church, addressed students at Covenant University during a campus worship event. A video of his address, which went viral on Instagram on October 21, 2026, shows him expressing displeasure at students who remained passive during praise sessions.

He urged them to participate actively, reminding them that the gathering was meant to honor God rather than serve as a social occasion. Oyedepo outlined non-negotiable values for students, including character, humility, and truthfulness.

He encouraged students to build a genuine connection with their faith, stating, "Please connect to Jesus in truth, or you bite your fingers tomorrow." He concluded his address with expressions of love for the students and prayers for them to discover God's plan for their lives. The timing of the video remains unverified at the time of reporting.
