Monarch Calls for Federal-State Collaboration in Osun

On Wednesday, Oba Haastrup, the monarch of Ijesaland, urged for stronger collaboration between federal and state governments during a courtesy visit from Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for the August 15, 2026 election. This visit was part of Oyebamiji’s statewide consultations with traditional rulers and stakeholders as he campaigns for the upcoming election.

Oba Haastrup praised the people of Ijesaland for their education and political awareness, urging Oyebamiji to prioritize sectors such as potable water supply, healthcare, infrastructure, and industrialization. He described Oyebamiji as humble and experienced, expressing confidence in his ability to govern effectively.

Oyebamiji committed to a people-centered government, leveraging his extensive experience in banking and public service to meet the needs of Osun State residents. Mr.

Wole Oke, the Director-General of the AMBO Campaign Organisation, also appealed for the monarch's support in mobilizing voters for Oyebamiji's candidacy.
