Monarch Encourages Investment in Okpella Community

During the celebration of his first coronation anniversary, the monarch of Okpella, Okuokpellagb, called on investors to establish businesses in the Edo North community, emphasizing its rich mineral resources, including limestone, gold, granite, marble, feldspar, and talc. The event, which attracted traditional rulers, government officials, and corporate leaders, served as a reflection of the achievements made during his first year on the throne.

The monarch outlined strategic projects aimed at enhancing infrastructure, security, and educational opportunities for the community. Notable initiatives included the inauguration of a 1.5-kilometer concrete road and the procurement of surveillance drones to bolster local security.

Additionally, he announced a partnership with the Benin Electricity Distribution Company to provide free electricity for domestic consumption. The celebration also featured the launch of the Okpella Royal Palace Foundation and empowerment programs targeting women, reinforcing the commitment to make Okpella a model community driven by peace and development.
