Soludo Commends Traders for Compliance in Anambra

On Monday, the Anambra State Government, led by Governor Chukwuma Soludo, sealed shops belonging to traders in Ogidi for failing to comply with the sit-at-home directive. Special Adviser Evarist Uba conducted a routine monitoring exercise and reported that a significant number of shops in the Electric Parts Dealer Market in Obosi opened for business, marking a notable departure from the prolonged weekly lockdown that had stifled economic activity across the state.

Uba expressed satisfaction with the compliance level, stating that approximately 80% of the market opened, which he described as a testament to the traders' faith in the government's efforts to restore peace and promote economic prosperity. The government warned that shops remaining closed would be sealed for two weeks.

Leaders from the Electric Parts Dealer Association and the International Building Materials Market praised the enhanced security measures provided by the state, demonstrating the government's commitment to rebuilding the economy.
