Moniepoint to Release Nigeria's Informal Economy Report

Moniepoint Microfinance Bank is set to unveil the second edition of Nigeria's Informal Economy Report at the Abuja Continental Hotel. The report, scheduled for release on October 17, 2025, highlights that 42% of informal sector operators in Nigeria lack sufficient savings to sustain themselves for more than a month without income.

The study, led by Moniepoint, aims to provide insights into the economic vulnerability of millions of small businesses in Nigeria's vast informal sector. The report is expected to offer valuable information to shape policies and strategies for financial inclusion in Nigeria, with a focus on supporting small and medium enterprises.
