Moniepoint to Unveil Nigeria's Informal Economy Report in Abuja

Moniepoint, a leading fintech provider in Nigeria, is set to launch the second edition of the Nigeria Informal Economy Report in Abuja. The report, produced in partnership with SMEDAN, aims to provide insights into the realities of Nigeria's informal sector, which accounts for 80% of the nation's employment.

It highlights the financial vulnerability of informal workers, with 42% lacking sufficient savings to sustain themselves for a month without income. The report also reveals that 65% of surveyed businesses experienced revenue growth in the past year, but rising operational costs led to a decrease in profits for 47% of them.

The event will feature keynotes, panel discussions, and research findings on challenges and opportunities within the informal economy.
