Moniepoint's Tosin Eniolorunda Chairs AI Startup Initiative

On September 8, 2023, Tosin Eniolorunda, the Founder and Group CEO of Moniepoint, was appointed honorary chair of the inaugural cohort of the Askya AI Growth Platform. This pan-African initiative, launched by Askya Investment Partners, aims to assist African artificial intelligence startups in their development and scaling efforts.

The program will select 10 AI-native, Africa-focused startups ranging from pre-seed to Series A stage. These selected companies will receive various forms of support, including coaching, technology and infrastructure assistance, corporate connections, and resources to enhance their products and commercial traction.

Participation in the program is free, and founders will not be required to give up equity. Additionally, selected startups may be eligible for investment of up to $200,000 from Askya.

Eniolorunda emphasized the potential of African entrepreneurs to create solutions for global markets, highlighting the need for stronger execution support and customer access. Babacar Seck, Founder and Managing Partner of Askya, noted that Eniolorunda's experience with Moniepoint makes him well-suited to guide the participating founders.
