Morris Monye has resigned from his position as Mobilisation Director of the Obidient Movement, expressing disappointment in the movement's poor performance during the recent Anambra gubernatorial election. Monye, who is a supporter of Peter Obi's presidential ambition under the Labour Party in 2023, accused the movement of neglecting Obi and highlighted the lack of communication, leadership, and funding within the organization.

Monye revealed that he personally raised funds for Obi's candidacy in the Anambra election but found the movement's plans unfulfilled and lacking substance.
